You start the 16/8 method of intermittent fasting every day at 9:00 a.m. with a nutritious breakfast, for example whole grain bread with avocado and fresh fruit. At 1:00 p.m. we treat you to a small meal, such as potatoes and vegetables, followed by a light evening meal at 5:00 p.m., such as a fasting soup rich in vegetables and broth.
During the fasting phases, you are always supplied with water and unsweetened tea. We maintain this routine throughout the entire retreat. Your daily calorie limit is a maximum of 1000 calories, which specifically promotes weight loss and fat loss.
Together with plenty of exercise, your fat burning is also boosted. Intermittent fasting also improves insulin sensitivity, stabilizes blood sugar levels and reduces the risk of diabetes. At the same time, important cellular repair processes are activated (autophagy), which ensures that your cells are cleansed.
You will practice yoga every day, in a protected space but also outside in nature. You will look inward to calm your mind and develop a deeper understanding of yourself. Through heart-opening asanas, you will explore your environment and fellow human beings and experience your own personal feedback.
During our retreat, we will use various yoga techniques to promote both physical strength and mental clarity.
In silence, we will explore nature together and go on meditative hikes.
Feel the mindfulness in every movement as you enjoy the beauty of nature. Treating the environment with respect not only enriches your body, but also nourishes your soul. You will feel yourself becoming one with nature. Various meditation techniques will show you ways that you can integrate this into your daily life.
Experience the exchange with like-minded people who are also on the journey to a healthier, more mindful self. Take the opportunity to find yourself and increase your well-being. This retreat offers the perfect space to gain new perspectives, find inner peace and make valuable connections.
After all, your creative side should also be given space. For example, you can try out musical instruments, even if you have never held one in your hand before. Creating and feeling vibrations is a completely different experience than just perceiving them with your ears. You have the opportunity to try out different forms of artistic expression alone or with the other participants, to discover new talents in yourself and to explore hidden inclinations. Let yourself be guided by the joy of experimentation and find out which creative facets lie dormant within you.
The retreat takes place in the Wolfsberg seminar house, which is located in the middle of a natural oasis in the Mostviertel region of Lower Austria. In addition to the Ötscher, the Lunzersee and the Erlauf mountain stream with its wonderful bathing areas, the Wolfsberg is surrounded by many small alpine pastures. Countless paths run through the area and make it a true hiking paradise, which is ideal for fasting hiking groups, among other things.
